South Carolina coin silver cream jug stamped J.E. SPEAR & CO (incuse) for John Emmons Spear, working Charleston, 1817-1871; thick bodied and heavy pear shaped form with C scroll handle, repousse floral cartouches to each side, flared upper rim and foot with anthemion banding, no monograms. 5 3/8"H, 11.7 oz.
Round 1" dent to lower front and 3/4" dent to handle, otherwise good condition.
