Sterling Strauser (American, 1907-1995) oil on board modernist landscape painting titled "Summer Act 3". A car travels under the branches of a large tree, which looms in the foreground. Swaths of green and black suggesting leaves and shadows are rendered in gestural brushstrokes and dominate the scene. Signed lower right and dated 1989. 36 in H x 48 in W. Unframed.
Condition
Overall good condition with a few scattered scratches and miniscule flakes. Wear to edges. Unframed.
