Tekke Main Carpet Merv Gul design, wool on wool, primary rust/red field with four (4) rows of seven (7) merv guls, within three primary borders and having an and upper and lower geometric border. Woven in red/rust, blue, and cream colors. 6 ft 6 in x 4 ft 8 in. 4th quarter 19th century, circa 1880.

PROVENANCE: Private Des Moines, Iowa collection.

Condition

Overall very good condition, with some minor wear to the left border and abrash noted to the lower gul row. Minor losses to fringe, Fitted with homemade denim hangers for display.
