1st item: Pablo Picasso (Spanish, 1881-1973) Seize Peintures: 1939-1943 portfolio with sixteen offset lithographs after Picasso paintings hinged to paper backings plus six-page booklet with introductory text by Roger Desnos and original cover. Published by Les Editions du Chene, Paris, 1943. 2nd item: Raul Dufy (French, 1877-1953) Galerie D'Estampes: Dufy portfolio with twenty-six loose reproductive prints after Dufy drawings plus four-page booklet with introductory text by Jacques de Laprade and original cover. Missing prints twenty-seven through thirty. Published by Les Editions Braun, Paris, 1940. Item 3: Honore Daumier (French, 1808-1879) Married Life portfolio with twenty-four loose lithographs depicting scenes from a marriage and eight-page booklet with text and lithographic frontispiece. Published by Pantheon Books, New York, 1944. All sheets: 14 1/4" H x 9 3/4" W. Booklet: 12" H x 9" W. 

 

Condition

1st item in overall very good condition, with marginal foxing to print backings, not to prints themselves. With separation to cover binding plus soiling, creasing, and tears to front and back cover papers, boards intact. 2nd item with tonings to sheets, especially edges, along with edge losses. Cover with losses and wear including tears, especially to spine. 3rd item with toning and marginal staining to sheets, outside of images. Faint toning to lower edge of booklet cover. Portfolio cover is missing.
