Advertising calendar for W. M. Lee & Co., Jonesboro Tennessee, 1932. Mounted atop decorative backing with Hadden Chambers "Smiling Thru" calendar topper. Advertises products and services including machinery repairs, Philco radios, and Purina feeds. Housed under glass in a carved wood frame. Sight: 44 1/2" H x 22 1/4" W. Framed: 50" H x 26 3/4" W. Note: W.M. Lee (d. 1936), in addition to being in the hardware and furniture business, was an alderman and former mayor of Jonesborough from 1932-1934.
Condition
Significant toning throughout. Minor losses to corners, largest 1" x 1 1/2" area upper right. Small loss to upper center along tear 1/4" dia. Scattered pinprick holes. Tears along edges, longest continuous 10" L to upper left corner.
