Walter Hollis Stevens (Tennessee, 1927-1980) abstract polymer (acrylic) on artist's board painting titled "Land Echo", rendered in shades of orange, red, gold, white, brown, and black. Dated and signed "Stevens 64" lower right. Additionally signed, dated, and titled en verso. Housed in a wood frame with painted wood liner. Sight: 21 3/8" H x 29 3/8" W. Framed: 25 3/4" H x 33 3/4" W. Note: Stevens was one of the "Knoxville Seven" and a professor of art at the University of Tennessee. His work is in collections of the Birmingham Museum of Art, Carnegie Visual Arts Center in Alabama, and the Mint Museum in Charlotte.
