Will Barnet (American, 1911-2012) color aquatint and etching on wove paper, "Blue Robe," 1971. A woman and a girl recline as they watch a black cat step over the woman's lap. Signed, titled, and numbered 11/225 in pencil, lower margin. Housed under acrylic in a giltwood frame with cream mat and French line. Sight: 14 1/8 in. H x 15 1/8 in. W. Framed: 34 1/8 in. H x 34 in. W. Ref.: Cole 144.
Condition
Overall very good condition. Sheet is evenly toned within sight area. Several minor spots of foxing include one to girl's cheek and one to woman's stomach. Not examined outside of frame. Frame with minor abrasions.
