Two Kentucky cherry one-drawer tables, poplar secondary, both with overhanging plain tops above one molded and dovetailed drawer with brass pulls and scratch beading, resting on tall tapering Hepplewhite legs. 28 1/2" H x 29 3/4" W x 19" D and 28 3/4" H x 22 1/4" W x 19" D. Lexington, KY area. Circa 1820 for the rectangular table, second quarter of the 19th century for the square table.
The Collection of Michael and Peggy Mahoney, by descent from the historic homes of Clarkland Farm at Bryan's Station and Cherrycote, Lexington, Kentucky.
Both tables with an older refinished surface. The rectangular table appears to have had the top flipped in the past based on stains to underside, minor buildup of drawer sides. The square table with an old diagonal patch across the top.
