Two (2) pairs of bookends, likely European, in the form of whippets including one black and gilt painted ceramic pair depicting whippets standing upon a book and next to an upright book (9" H x 5" W x 4 1/2" D) and another patinated bronze pair depicting whippets resting upon a bronze Neoclassical style base (5 3/8" H x 7 3/4" L x 3 3/4" D). Both pairs are unsigned. Both 20th century.
Both pairs in overall good condition. Noses of ceramic whippets with slight wear. Very slight scattered dings to bronze whippets.
