1st item: Salt-glazed stoneware pottery jar with cobalt stenciled decoration reading "J. E. Eneix, New Geneva, PA" working circa in New Geneva 1874 - 1876. 8 1/2 in. H. 2nd item: Salt-glazed stoneware pottery jar with cobalt double sided stenciled decoration reading "From H. F. Behrens Centre Market Grocery Wheeling, W. Va'". 9 7/8 in. H. Circa 1865-1890.

Condition

1st item: Overall good condition with scattered firing flaws and base edge with uneven profile indicating form may not have not been cut from the wheel flush when made. 2nd item: Old spidering hairlines and staining to base edge and lower side of form.
