Large Blount County, TN salt-glazed stoneware pottery jar stamped MARYVILLE POTTERY (1885 - 1890) and 4 denoting capacity. Tall ovoid form, beveled base edge. 16 in. H.
Condition
Handles missing with the possibility of loss in the firing process. Large stabilized cracks extended from the rim through the body. Form stabilized by metal band to the mid-section and wire band around the rim.
