1st item: Stephen Thomas Hennessy (California/Ohio, 1893-1971) oil on board coastal landscape painting titled "Monterey Cypress" depicting the native California trees on a rocky coastline with blue water in the distance. Inscribed "Steven [sic] Hennessy" to backing and housed in a silvered wood frame. Sight: 13 in. H x 17 in. W. Framed: 18 in. H x 21 3/4 in. W. 2nd item: Oil on board landscape painting depicting a large male moose standing in a grassy field with tall evergreen trees in the background. Signed lower left in red "J. Morgan". Housed in a carved wood frame. Sight: 9 1/2 in. H x 16 5/8 in. W. Framed: 13 5/8 in. H x 20 1/2 in. W.
Condition
Both paintings in overall good condition. 1st item's frame with minor abrasions, primarily to the corners.

Private Knoxville, TN Collection.

Payment must be received no later than five (5) days after the sale.
Unless you are a known customer of Case Auctions, payment for all gold, precious metal, and gem lots must be made by bank wire transfer, ACH, certified bank check, or money order. No exceptions.
If you pick up your lots from any of our galleries, Tennessee state sales tax will apply. Sales tax will only be waived if you provide a valid resale certificate from your state of residence.
