Three (3) copperplate engravings on wove paper of classical Greek or Roman statues, after Franceso Piranesi (Italian, 1756-1810). 1st-2nd items: Two (2) prints after drawings by Tommaso Piroli (Italian, 1752-1824), including one (1) depicting the Capitoline Antinous, a sculpture of a youthful Hermes, and one (1) depicting the Borghese Gladiator, a sculpture of a Hellenic swordsman. 3rd item: Print after a drawing by Ludovico Corazzari (Italian, c.1758-c.1810) depicting Cleomenes sculpture of Caesar as Mercury with a tortoise at his feet, numbered at upper right in plate "12". All having inscription with artist, engraver, and dedication information across lower edge in plate. All pieces signed in plate lower right. Borghese Gladiator piece with pencil inscription, en verso. All housed and matted under glass in matching giltwood frames. Sights: 19 1/8" H x 12 3/4" W. Frames: 24 7/8" H x 18 1/4" W.

Condition

All items in overall good condition with slight discoloration of paper, scattered minute foxing spots, and scattered creasing to paper. Matting, engraving, and backing are affixed and no attempt has been made to separate these pieces. Frames with scattered wear to gilt.
