1st item: Dr. Cesare Lombroso, innovator of legal medicine and criminal anthropology, ALS, in Italian, on printed letterhead, dated 1895. 8 in. x 5 in.  Matted with print of a portrait of Lombroso and biographical information. Mat: 17 in. x 14 3/4 in. 2nd item: Vincenz Priessnitz (Austria, 1799-1851), the founder of Hydrotherapy, signed statement dated Nov. 14, 1851 (two weeks before his death), confirming a change of personnel in the financial committee of the Sanatorium. 10 in. x 4 1/2 in. Matted, 14 1/2 in. square. 3rd item: Dr. Ludwig L. Zamenhof (1859-1917), inventor of the international language Esperanto, ALS. The note appears to be written in Esperanto. 5 1/2 in. x 3 in, with punched holes at top. With a matted printed portrait and biographical information. Matted: 11 in. x 14 in.  

 

Condition

All items with toning, unframed. Priessnitz letter with creases, hinge mounted at top. Zamenhoff letter not mounted to mat. All other items tape mounted to mats.
