Six (6) Wilson County Tennessee wills,19th century, all of typical content except as noted. 1st item: 1861 will of William C. Baird, "having joined the Army of Tennessee Volunteers and .. now about to depart as a soldier for parts unknown and in view of the uncertainty of a soldier's life and having a desire as to how my property of every kind should go in the event I should die... ", witnessed by a "J.F. Davis" and "John H. Guild". 2nd item: 1860 will of James Baird, stating among other things that his wife Emily should retain during her lifetime or widowhood "a Negro woman named Cresy. If my wife shall leave the neighborhood she shall not take the woman Cresy with her but may hire her out in the neighborhood so that she shall not be separated from her husband." 3rd item: 1860 will of Elizabeth Donaldson, stating among other things that "my slaves Mat (?) and Rubin together with all my other property be sold to the highest bidder..." 4th item: 1856 will of John Eatherly, with large stain (possibly blood), mentioning merely "my Negro property". 5th item: 1859 Will of Littleberry White, leaving his slaves Nancy and Martin Clark to his wife Martha and then to his children. 6th item: 1865 will of William B. Campbell.

Condition

Fading to Elizabeth Donaldson's will. Large stain (possibly blood) to Eatherly's will. Others overall good condition with light toning, some minor staining, minor holes and separations at fold lines.
