1st - 6th items: A collection of 6 ornamental wax seal stamps used by members of two prominent South Carolina families - the Pinckneys and Pringles - plus a horn snuff box with engraved initials GW. Seals include 1 figural Joan of Arc (no initials), 1 silverplated cherub or Grace (monogram MP), 1 green onyx  (3 letter conjoined monogram), 1 silverplated (monogram MP), and 1 horn (2 letter conjoined monogram) plus1 small brass seal stamp of a rose. 1 1/4" to 3 1/2"H. Also included is a horn snuff box with a brass ring on the lid, small brass nails around the edges, the interior of the lid incised with initials G.W. to the interior. 2 1/4" H. Rose stamper probably 20th century, other items late 18th to late 19th century. 8th and 9th items: Two (2) Edwardian sterling silver inkwells, both of single circular form, including one with pen well and hinged top monogrammed CP, hallmarked for William Aitken, Birmingham, 1907-1908, measuring 3" diameter; the other with missing lid, hallmarked for Birmingham, 1905-1906, maker's mark illegible, measuring 4" diameter. Both weighted.

Condition

Seals: Some tarnish and oxidation, overall good condition. Box lid no longer fits tightly. One inkwell lacks its lid and has illegible maker's mark, both with ink residue/pitting to interior.
