Group of assorted mostly American coin silver flatware, including six (6) teaspoons with raised Sheaf of Wheat decoration to handles, including five marked only C & N in rectangle (unattributed, likely New York) plus one with English sterling hallmarks and different monogram; 1 large soup or punch ladle in a variant of the early "Albert" pattern stamped A.C. BENEDICT 28 BOWERY (New York) monogrammed "Griffiths"; 1 sugar tongs marked E. NEWBURY (Brooklyn, NY) in rectangle, monogrammed WEM to bridge; 1 sugar shell with hallmarks for Johnson and Godley, New York, monogrammed "EJ Nearing"; 2 tablespoons marked for William Griswold of Portland Maine, monogrammed DEM; 2 early pointed oval end spoons with conjoined HL mark (unattributed), circa 1800, one monogrammed; and 2 French knot pattern pieces including a dessert/salad fork and a tablespoon, both with Tetard Freres makers marks and Minerva head hallmarks indicating .950 fineness. All items circa 1825-1850 except where noted. Sizes range from 5 1/2" to 13 1/4". French flatware: 3.65 oz troy. Other flatware: 15.99 oz troy.

Condition

Significant wear to tips of tablespoons. Dent to bridge on tongs. Small dents to bowls on Sheaf of Wheat spoons. Some old adhesive sticker residue to backs of a few items, otherwise most items in very good condition.
