1st item: English Regency burlwood sarcophagus form tea caddy on bun feet with wood ring handles and two lidded inner compartments. 7" H x 9" W x 5 1/2" D. Early 19th century. 2nd item: English walnut letter box or writing desk, with silver and mother of pearl inlay to the lid. Faux painted interior with upper and lower fitted compartments. 4 1/2" H x 11 1/8" W x 7 1/2" D. Mid to late 19th century.
Condition
1st item: Wood shrinkage to the lid with minor losses and repairs to each corner. Escutcheon is absent with approx 1" wood shrinkage below escutcheon. 2nd item: Losses to two corners of the lid. The inner lid cover and lower section cover are both loose. 4 1/2" H x 11 1/8" W x 7 1/2" D.

Unless you are a known customer of Case Auctions, payment for all gold, precious metal, and gem lots must be made by bank wire transfer, ACH, certified bank check, or money order. No exceptions.
If you pick up your lots from any of our galleries, Tennessee state sales tax will apply. Sales tax will only be waived if you provide a valid resale certificate from your state of residence.
If paying with a credit card, a 3.5% credit card processing fee will be applied to the final sales price (i.e. hammer price + buyer's premium + applicable taxes). If you have a credit card on file with Case, any winning bids will be automatically charged (up to $3000) along with applicable fees 72 hours after you receive your invoice unless other arrangements have been made.
