1874 French Model 1874 M80 11x59mmR caliber bolt action Fusil Gras rifle, from the Tulle manufactory, artillery model with bayonet lug. Sling buckles, fixed front sight, adjustable rear ladder sight. Left side of receiver stamped "Manufacture d'Armes Tulle Mle 1874 / M80". Modified in 1880 as the M80 with improved breechblock. Serial # R 12937 on barrel and stock, and duplicated on the bring-back certificate dated 6 December 1945. Bolt with mismatched serial G 46309, (manuf. Saint-Etienne), possibly swapped during 1880 conversion. Together with a Headquarters U. S. Forces European Theater Bringback document dated 12/6/1945.

Condition

Action is stiff but operational; stock with typical sracthes and gouging; bore is rough; metal parts with some rust and pitting.
