Gladys Emerson Cook (American, 1899-1976) oil on board painting depicting two-story country house with yellow paneling, green shutters and roof, and white trim and fencing illuminated by the mid-day sunlight through the leaves of a tree by the front door. Signed "Gladys Emerson Cook" lower left. Grogan & Company sticker label as well as The Ainsworth Gallery paper label, en verso. Housed and canvas matted in a giltwood frame with bead course sight edge. Sight: 11 3/8" H x 15 1/4" W. Framed: 17 7/8" H x 21 3/4" W.
