Kawase Hasui (Japanese, 1883-1957) shin hanga vertical oban woodblock print entitled "Zentsuji Temple in Rain," 1937, and depicting the temple's entrance with a tall pagoda partially obscured by soft rain visible in the distance. Published by Wanatabe Shozaburo, Tokyo, 1946-1957, with the publisher's "6mm" seal, lower right. With Hasui's signature and seal, lower left. Sheet: 15 1/4" H x 10 1/2" W. Frame: 20 3/4" H x 15 3/8" W.
Condition
Print has been adhered to board. With mat burn and fading.
