Miniature bust-length portrait drawing on card, in pencil with painted white highlights, that depicts a young man shown in three-quarters view, likely American, first half of the 19th century. The man wears a jacket with upturned collar and a cravat. Touches of white highlight his eyes and the upper edge of the cravat's neckband. Unsigned. Housed under glass in a giltwood frame. Sight. 3 1/2 in. H x 3 in. W. Framed: 10 in. H x 9 1/4 in. W.
Condition
Overall very good condition, with even toning to sheet. Sheet is not laid down. Frame with minor abrasions and losses, especially to corners.
