Southern School, early 20th century oil on canvas view of St. Michael's Church in Charleston, South Carolina. Signed, partially illegibly, Andre --ack, lower right. Backing board contains taped note with old inscription to previous owner from "Cleova and the Artist." Molded giltwood frame. Canvas - 19"H x 14"W. Frame - 24" H x 20"W. Circa 1940.
Buckling to canvas, particularly at the lower edge. Canvas has been laid down on a backing board, with outer edges of canvas adhered to the board. Needs removal and re-stretching. Grime throughout. Some wear and surface losses to frame.
