Sterling Strauser (Pennsylvania, 1907-1995) oil on board Expressionist-style seascape painting rendered in heavy impasto depicting a shoreline with rolling waves and seafoam beneath a dark blue horizon line and a gray-blue sky. Signed and dated "Strauser 76" lower right. Float mounted in a chrome-painted wooden frame with black accent and chrome fillet. Sight: 11 7/8" H x 29 3/4" W. Framed: 20 7/8" H x 41" W.
