1st item: An American blue and white pieced and hand-quilted cotton quilt, Rolling Stone pattern, with cotton thread and batting, matching blue binding on scalloped sides, and a white cotton backing. Hand-quilted at 10 stitches per inch, blue quilting lines still visible, cross-hatching over the pieced blocks, parallel serpentine quilting lines in the outer border. Cable quilting in the outer border. 84 in. x 84 in. Circa 1930s. 2nd item: An American vintage multicolored cotton pieced quilt in the Spools pattern. Cotton is comprised of dress prints and possibly some feed sacks, featuring cotton batting and thread, and a pastel plaid backing, with parallel and diagonal line quilting. 68 in. x 88 in. Circa 1960s.
