1st item: President Andrew Johnson,  Warrant of Pardon, "Executive clemency for taking part in the rebellion against the government of the United States" issued to Thomas L. Williams of Greeneville, TN, dated January 21st, 1867, signed by Andrew Johnson and William H Seward, Secretary of State, with the United States Great Seal, 2 pages. 18" H x 23" W. 2nd item: Department of State document from Thomas L. Williams to Secretary of State William H. Seward, acknowledging the receipt of the "President's Warrant of Pardon", dated January 28, 1867, with an official Department of State certification cover page dated January 30, 1867, and facsimile signed by William H. Seward. Retains the Department of State seal, 3 pages. 10" H x 8" W. 

Condition

1st item: Fold lines, some areas of toning and spotting, and seam separation primarily to the center fold line. 2nd item: Overall very good condition with 2 horizontal fold lines.
