Collection of 54 original advertising postcards acquired at the 1913 International Exhibition of Modern Art, also known as The Armory Show. The unused black and white postcards illustrate many of the exhibited works at the show by artists including Picasso, Cezanne, Matisse, Kandinsky, Glackens, Bellows, Archipenko, and some lesser known at the time artists such as Jo Davidson and Mahonri Young. With exhibit information and pine tree insignia en verso of each. Housed in a later custom green leather case with gilt lettering and a marbleized paper slipcase. Cards 5 1/2" x 3 1/2". Case 4" x 6".

Condition

Postcards: toning, light wear to corners. Occasional spot of light foxing. Some scuffing to binding and slipcase.
