English School oil on board landscape painting depicting a female figure and child in a rowboat moored amid bulrush on a rocky bank with a male figure holding a long branch to the left. A grouping of tall trees is in the midground to the left with a large lake and a mountain range in the background beneath a hazy blue sky. Signed "H Williams" lower right. Housed in a molded giltwood frame with ribbon and acanthus decoration having placard affixed to the lower sight edge attributing piece to "Henry Williams, b. 1860, fl. 1890s" with possible location "Early Morning, Westmoreland". Sight: 9 1/2" H x 13 1/2" W. Framed: 17" H x 21" W. 19th century.

Overall very good condition with minute scattered abrasion to paint layer. Frame has been restored.
