Jeanne Davies (Pennsylvania/New Jersey, b. 1936) oil on canvas painting titled "Summer in Nantucket" depicting a neighborhood with New England architecture, figures, and the ocean with sailboats floating in the background. Signed "Davies" lower left, title and artist name on nameplate, lower center. Housed in a contemporary gilt frame with carved decoration. Sight: 19 1/2" H x 23 1/2" W. 24 1/2" H x 28 1/2" W. Note: Jeanne Davies is known for painting children's portraits, farm and genre scenes, and folk artworks of Amish everyday life.
