Salvador Dali (Spain, 1904-1989) etching in black, gold, and green on Japon paper titled "Le Vitrail/Painted Window" inspired by a photograph of a window with Dali cut-outs affixed, including trees and a seated angel. Signed in pencil and blind stamped Dali, lower right, and numbered in pencil in Roman numerals 69/100, lower left. Float mounted and matted behind plexiglass in a giltwood frame with cream mat and gold reveal. Plate: 15 1/8" H x 9 3/8" W. Sheet. 15" H x 11" W. Frame: 27 1/4" H x 23 1/4" W. Ref.: Field, 68-1; ML/Argillet 334. Note: Published by Argillet Editions, 1968, in an edition of 250 on Arches and 100 on Japon paper. Work is found in The Official Catalog of the Graphic Works of Salvador Dali, by Albert Field, authorized by Dali (1996), p. 135, and Dali: The Argillet Collection, by Jean Christophe Argillet and Triad Art Group, Inc. Excellent condition. Sheet is float mounted with archival tape.
